The Carriage House forms one half of a beautifully converted stable and carriage building on the Alderbury Hill estate — a family home set in fourteen acres of grounds, paddocks and open Wiltshire countryside.
The cottage sleeps six across two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, with an additional mezzanine level within the room — accessed by a fixed ladder and sleeping two on single beds. See photographs for layout. The second bedroom has a full double bed. Both bathrooms are modern and well-appointed: a wet room shower and a separate bathroom with bath and hand shower. All bed linen is 100% cotton with feather duvets; synthetic available on request.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice box. The living area has fibre Wi-Fi, streamed HDTV and a Sonos system with ceiling speakers throughout. Outside, a private patio with dining table, chairs and a BBQ looks out over the estate’s paddocks and open countryside beyond.
The Larder — before you arrive, stock your kitchen with our curated selection of locally sourced breakfast boxes, BBQ bundles, New Forest cheeses and fresh produce, delivered to your cottage. Please order at least five days before your stay.
Browse The LarderThanks to its central-corridor design, The Carriage House can be joined with The Old Stables to accommodate groups of up to twelve guests across four bedrooms, two mezzanine rooms and four bathrooms — ideal for family gatherings or group celebrations.
Guest access — guests have exclusive use of the patio and BBQ, and are welcome to enjoy the estate’s gardens, walking field and paddocks. We ask that you keep to the guest areas and are mindful of the garden directly around the main house and the private spaces of neighbouring cottages. Parking is in the guest area next to the stables.
We are usually on hand to welcome you on arrival and show you around. If we cannot meet you, we will let you know in advance and arrange for your keys to be left safely. Check-in is from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.
